Rena E. Walker of Hamlin died Sunday at Community Medical Center after an illness. Her husband was the late Murel J. “Mike” Walker.
Born in S. Canaan, daughter of the late John and Grace Swingle Jaggers, she was a member of the Centenary United Methodist Church, Hamlin and had been employed at Sherman Underwear, Hawley.
The family would like to thank the staff at the Brighten at Julia Ribaudo Senior Care Center for their compassionate care given to Rena.
Surviving are a son Dale and his wife Carol of Hamlin; a sister Gertrude Conklin of Lake Ariel; step-grandchildren Darlene and Laura; step-great-grandchildren Cara, Peter, Joshua, and Katelyn; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a grandson Ardel James “A.J.” Walker; brothers Friend, Basil. Charles, Merel, and Marvin; sisters Marjorie Brown, Esther DePew, Freda Van Orden, Edna Swingle, and Maybert Chapman.
The Funeral Service will be Thursday at 11:00am in the James Wilson Funeral Home Rt. 296 143 Gravity Rd. Lake Ariel.
Friends may call Wednesday from 5:00-8:00pm.
Interment, Fairview Memorial Park, Elmhurst.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Centenary United Methodist Church c/o Aloma Peters 1270 Easton Turnpike Lake Ariel, PA 18436.

I am sorry so for your lose. Rena was a wanderful person.I only got to know her for a short period of time. She was my mothers roommate at the nursing home for a short time.Rena will be missed. She will be with my mother now they can visit each.I am very sorry for your loss.
